Chateau Angelus Master Class

The Institute of Masters of Wine is delighted to host this exceptional master class of Chateau Angelus – Saint Emilion's new First Growth, presented by Hubert de Boüard, including a vertical tasting of 9 vintages back to 2000.
Château Angélus is recognised as one of most prestigious estates in Saint-Émilion and was promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé ‘A’ in 2012, joining Château Ausone and Château Cheval Blanc in the highest classification, together with Château Pavie.
Hubert de Boüard de Laforest will present a wonderful range of vintages of his family’s famous Chateau.
He will explain how, since taking over the Estate in 1985, he has managed to turn the property around. He was an early champion of biodynamic culture focusing on sustainability. Today Ch Angélus has become one of the most sought after wines of Bordeaux.
He won recognition of his remarkable achievement with the recent reclassification.
We will taste every vintage from 2012 – 2005 plus the legendary 2000.
