Château Belle-Brise Vertical
Tuesday 2 July 2013
,
Hidden along Pomerol’s far, southern border, Château Belle-Brise releases just a handful of bottles each vintage. At just 2 hectares in size and with similar production levels to Château Le Pin, it is so elusive it is basically unknown to the general public. Within the upper echelons of the world’s greatest restaurants though, the wines have an intense, nearly obsessive following. Recent vintages are absolute must haves on Michelin starred lists in Monaco, Switzerland and Tokyo. This means that a visit to one of these dining rooms has been the only opportunity to savour these exceptional wines.
That is, until now. We have taken the unprecedented step of becoming the exclusive importer and distributor of these secretive wines in the UK. As part of the new relationship, Château owner and winemaker Henri-Bruno de Coincy has agreed to present a vertical at AWC Wine Academy.
This is small lot, artisan winemaking at its finest and the wines are very untraditional for Bordeaux. Stylistically, they are much more like a fine Burgundy from Chambolle-Musigny. Discover a Pomerol like you’ve never experienced before by joining us on July 2nd.
