An Evening of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg Rare Wine Expert Peter Thustrup Leads His First U.S. Landmark Tasting

The Wine Trust and Société du Vin are pleased to host a one-of-a kind landmark tasting of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg on Friday August 16, 2013 lead by renowned wine expert Peter Thustrup. This intimate tasting will showcase a comprehensive vertical of ten Richebourg vintages – 1948, 1963, 1966, 1971, 1972, 1981, 1982, 1986, 1989, 1999 – specifically chosen to best demonstrate the terroir of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, the oldest and most revered wine domaine in the world. The evening will be guided by Peter Thustrup, (www.peterthustrup.com) a pioneer in the rare wine market with more than 30 years of experience. Having tasted over 50,000 wines throughout his career, he is a connoisseur of DRC and has had a close working relationship with the owners since 1983. These vintages have been carefully selected by him to showcase the combined power and seduction of the domaine, which is the essence of Burgundy. Peter has led numerous landmark tastings throughout his prestigious career in Paris, London, Stockholm, Tokyo and Kyoto. This will be his first landmark tasting in the United States.
