Greywacke Wine Tasting Dinner with Kevin Judd

Thursday 30 January 2014

,

We are incredibly excited to welcome legendary winemaker; Kevin Judd, to host an exclusive Greywacke wine tasting dinner at Purnell’s Bistro, Birmingham.

Greywacke is the Marlborough label of Kevin Judd, founding winemaker of Cloudy Bay and one of the true pioneers of New Zealand wine. The name Greywacke was adopted by Kevin and his wife in recognition of the high prevalence of the rounded river stones of the same name in the soils of their first vineyard. These quality focused wines source fruit from only the finest mature vineyards within the central Wairau Plains and the Southern Valleys. Kevin’s signature vineyard photographs provide the unmistakable identity of the Greywacke range.

A specially created four course menu has been chosen to pair with a selection of wines from the Greywacke range. The excellent food at Purnell’s Bistro menu is inspired by the ‘rustic home-cooking with an eclectic twist’ of Michelin star chef Glynn Purnell. It’s one of our favourite places to eat in Birmingham and we cannot wait for the night! Due to the huge popularity of these wines, we are expecting tickets to sell out quickly. To avoid disappointment, please don’t delay in booking!
