Handford Wine 2003 Red Bordeaux Tasting with Richard Brazier

Thursday 18 April 2013

,

2003 was just about the hottest growing season that Bordeaux has ever had to cope with and as we know lots of heat is important but too much becomes a great problem for the vine and the resulting balance of the wine. 1976 struggled greatly with this but with modern wine techniques 2003 was a much greater success but just how much so? In its tenth year we will have a rain check on the reportedly more successful producers of the vintage. If you bought some en primeur this will be particularly useful to you. We will be showing

Vieux Chateau Certan, Domaine de Chevalier, Palmer, Grand Puy Lacoste, Cos D’Estournel, Ducru Beaucaillou, Angelus, Leoville Barton, Duhart Milon, Pichon Baron
