5 Decades of Grand Puy Lacoste
Thursday 9th October sit down tasting with Richard Brazier
Thirty years ago Grand Puy Lacoste was hardly a favourited chateau and was merely a Fifth Growth property. My how things change! The property has undergone dramatic changes in recent decades. It is now considered to be a “Flying Fifth” and is ranked among First and Second Growth properties in terms of quality. Still classical in style, they have definitely not sold their soul as other chateaux have. It is the balance of their wines that are so impressive; plenty of fruit and tannin but always in equilibrium. This tasting explores the wines of Grand Puy Lacoste over five decades. We will be showing:1967, 1976, 1985, 1988, 1990, 1995, 1996, 1999, 2000, 2003
