We are pleased to present one of our new finds that we think offer superb quality and value in modern Bordeaux. The St Emilion Estate of Chateau La Croizille neighbours the famous vineyards of Tertre Roteboeuf and is also just a stones throw away from the famous Troplong Mondot property. The vineyards on the clay-limestone plateau yielded spectacularly good offerings, comprised of 70% of Merlot and 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon. Chateau Haut – Breton Larigaudière has vineyards located partly in the town Arsac and partly in Soussans. The sandy, dark gravel-of Arsac and the clay gravel-sand of Grand Soussans give a good spread of terroir each adding something to the blend. Renowned neighbours include De Tertre, Prieuré – Lichine, Durfort Vivens & Brane Cantenac. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape dominates the vineyard (65 to 70 %). For the first wine, the Haut – Breton Larigaudière, at least 80% of this grape will be used for the blend. The Merlot grape makes a rather small contribution compared to other wines in this designation.
