With a really high class field in the glorious commune of St. Julien, Chateau Beychevelle often gets over looked and interest has only picked up in recent years because the Chinese had supposedly liked the label! As with so many Chateaux they struggled in the 1960s and 1970s but really turned things around from the early 1980s. Unlike like many of the competitors locally it does struggle a bit in poor vintages. Having said that it really comes into its own in the good and very good years and that is all we will taste and so we should see Beychevelle in all its glory. We have never put on a Beychevelle vertical before and it should be fascinating.

We will taste 2005, 2000, 1999, 1996, 1995, 1989, 1985, 1982, 1970 & 1962
