It will be a gap of three years since we last tasted the, mainly mature, wines of Zind Humbrecht. Seen by many as the best producer in Alsace and by one writer, rather wildly, the best producer in France, there is little question that they are on top form at present. The June 2010 tasting was a huge success and opened peoples’ eyes to the amazing ability even their ordinary village wines had to age. Alsace is still in many ways underappreciated and as one of the greatest exponents of the area it should again be a fabulous tasting. Along with two recent examples of his fabulous and rare Selection des Grains Nobles, which we did not have last time, we will be tasting the following…
