You are invited to our next tasting on Wednesday 2nd December from 17.00-21.00h at our shop in Clifton Road W9.
Reiner Flick, the man who makes Victoriaberg, Queen Victoria’s favourite wine, will be joining us on Wednesday evening.
We picked up his latest releases last Friday. On Wednesday Reiner will be showing two Victoriaberg Rieslings, one dry, one off-dry, the Nonnberg dry Riesling, a UK Top 50 German winner, and until we run out, two or three of his other current faves.

Our reds will be French and Italian.
Pinot Noir from Burgundy; a delicious, smoky Hautes-Cotes de Beaune by Denis Pere et Fils from the shadow of the hill of Corton.

We will also be opening the latest release of La Petite Ourse, a firm Winery favourite; biodynamic Cotes-du-Rhone Villages made by Pascal Chalon in his Granny’s garage.

The Men in Black are back – Schola Sarmenti, who make deep reds in the deep south of Italy; Puglia.
The Men in Black are the stuff of legends at The Winery. We had a Godfather moment when we were sniffing out new wines in Puglia some summers ago.
“We’ll meet at 17.00h in the square.”
“How will we recognise you?”
“Don’t worry, we’ll find you”.
Men in black, following a black car along remote country roads, horses heads in beds, we experienced them all – (apart from the horses heads). Puglia's hot southernmost corner is known for its big, juicy reds and on Wednesday we will be opening Armentino a 50/50 blend of Negroamaro and Primitivo.
