At our 'homage' to the famous/infamous 1976 Judgement of Paris we'll taste try four pairs of wines – each the same grape variety – or blend and comparably priced.
As summer seems but a distant memory we’ve picked wines that work really well with autumnal food – none more so than Pinot Noir- just perfect with game and sweet, earthy, roast root vegetables. Try Miroglio’s Bulgarian Pinot against La Vierge Pinot from Hemel-en Aarde in South Africa; compare Cahors from Chateau du Cedre with Tinto Negro’s Lime Coast Malbec and Haan Australian Merlot and Cabernet Franc with Chateau Siaurac from Lalande de Pomerol. To start proceedings we’ll have a pair of wines from Viognier – a grape that has only a very recent history outside France.
As ever all the wines we taste will be available at specially discounted prices that evening.
Individual bottles will be at case rate while a case of 12, mixed or otherwise, will attract a further 5% discount.
Tickets are just £15 each.
