Welcome to the Planet of the Grapes: our own sideways at the wonderfully world of wine. Many wine courses (including some of our own at the Wine School) divide wines up by the country or region in which they were made: think about how wines are laid out in the supermarket (France/Italy/Chile/Australia) for example.

But many people make sense of wines through grape variety, not the country in which the grapes are grown! If you have ever said 'I like Sauvignon Blanc' or 'I don't like Chardonnay', or if you have ever heard somebody saying 'I really enjoy Cabernet Sauvignon' and wondered what they meant, then this is the course for you!
