Pomerol with Neal Martin
Thursday 13 December 2012
,
If Robert Parker has become synonymous with Bordeaux, Neal Martin will soon be the definitive reference for Pomerol.
Working as Robert Parker’s right hand man, Neal Martin has been his UK based wine critic for the past 7 years.
He has published his first book which focuses entirely on the famous Right Bank Bordeaux commune, Pomerol. The book covers the history of the commune, winery profiles organised alphabetically, and considers every Pomerol cru ever made – as many as 400!
Explaining why he chose to focus on Pomerol, Neal says: “I’ve always loved the wines and it’s the last remaining appellation [in Bordeaux] where you can go to a château and the family are still there…”
AWC Academy is very pleased to announce an in-depth tasting of Pomerol wines chosen by Neal Martin as featured in his recently published book. He will present 8 of the leading estates and discuss the producers, vineyards and history of the region.
All guests will receive a signed copy of Pomerol included in their ticket price. Seats are limited and we expect this event to sell out quickly, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
