Mention the word Rioja and immediately you think of Spain's flagship wines, mainly produced from Tempranillo and Garnacha. Younger versions are soft and fruity whilst Crianza's, Reserva's and Gran Reserva's have increasing levels of concentration, elegance and smooth oak influence.
