Our Hearty Winter Warmer – Friday 16th November

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best, and we hope this will be a case in point with our first winter warmer tasting.

For this event we’ll not be focussing on a particular region or winery or indeed price, it’s all about wines which will warm you up during the dark chilly winter months.

Simon Gotelee, who will be familiar to many long standing customers, recently joined the wine team in the spring to take control of our growing portfolio of restaurants and hotels to which we supply wines.

Simon has been tasked with presenting an eight wine tasting with the simple requirement that it must warm us up during the cold winter months.

With Simon’s penchant for fortified wines, his wine list for the evening will no doubt encompass a sherry and port alongside more traditional styles.

Following the tasting we will sit down for two courses of British cockle-warming cuisine each served with a complimentary wine.

There’ll be chatter, clinking of glasses, super wine and perfect winter fayre; a fun and delightfully informal start to the winter months.
