Spirits Series: Delamain Cognac Masterclass

Wednesday 9 October 2013

,

Hand crafted since 1824, Delamain is one of the last, family-owned and run Cognac houses. It is globally recognised as the leading specialist in the blending and ageing of fine, old Cognac using only eau-de-vie from the Grande Champagne region – the first great growth of Cognac.

Aged in seasoned oak casks for a minimum of two decades, the Delamain range of fine Cognacs are blended and bottled under the control and expertise of Patrick Peyrelongue and Charles Braastad, the direct descendants of the founder, James Delamain.

We are honoured to welcome Charles Braastad to lead an intimate and fascinating masterclass at AWC Wine Academy. He will discuss the history and culture of fine Cognac, explain the proper technique of tasting this rare spirit and lead us through the estate's award-winning, hand-crafted line-up.
