A long weekend in early July open to all wine and food enthusiasts, to 'study' for the WSET Level 1 certificate in a medieval castle, Castello di Potentino, Seggiano on the slopes of Mont Amiata – the Etruscan's Olympus. To make the study even more pleasurable there will be a River Café chef to cook all lunches and dinners, a visit to the Sesti family for a Brunello tasting and dinner with Elisa Sesti at the estate, masterclasses back at the castle in Tuscan pork butchery and pasta making, a late afternoon trip to the thermal spa at Bagno Vignoni, and famous wines from surrounding towns Montepulciano, San Gimignano and Chianti Classico to ensure you return with your WSET Level 1 certificate and plenty of Italian wine knowledge. PS there is optional yoga in the morning too should you wish to stretch a bit.
