West London Wine School Domaine Huet Vouvray Masterclass

Wednesday 20 May 2015

,

We are delighted to host another absolutely stunning tasting showcasing the exquisite wines of Vouvray's most famous estate,Domaine Huet, ranging from the rare pre-WW2 1924 to 2009. The tasting will be led by Jimmy Smith who is an expert and enthusiastic ambassador for the complex wines of Vouvray and especially this domaine claiming that the best wine he has ever tasted was the 1947 Domaine Huet Haut Lieu. Our previous Huet tasting in September 2014 was lauded as the greatest tasting ever at the school with one or two people being moved to tears by the emotional story behind the domaine.

The tasting will discover a diverse range from the long-lived Chenin Blanc grape variety including dry, medium-dry and sweet white wines and a sparkling style from vintages spanning back to 1924 (yes you heard it right, 1924!). It is an excellent opportunity to taste an amazing range of wine styles from just one grape variety, Chenin Blanc, and also why this variety is possibly the greatest white grape variety in the world for ageing.

The Rare Wonderful Wines on Tasting:
