On the second week of our Emerging Regions course we will be taking in some of the delights of Eastern Europe.

This will mean countries such as Croatia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania. These countries have all undergone a transformation in terms of their wines in recent years. it was not all that long ago that all you could was fairly average, fairly cheap wines from these countries, but now there are a wealth of unique, interesting and stylish wines made from grape varieties that are unique to these regions.

Winemaking goes back centuries here, as the stories and traditions of each region. And with the modern winemaking techniques available today, and the better quality wines that are being made, these are truly wines that deserve a more prominent place in our minds. Over the course of the evening will taste six wines, a combination of red and white from a variety of countries, and explore just how interesting and diverse these wine really are.
