Wines of Southern Mediterranean Tasting

Wednesday 27 July 2016

In the third edition of the Emerging Regions Course, we will be looking at wines from countries in the South Mediterranean.

This will include countries such as Lebanon, Morocco and Turkey. We are now getting further away from the countries traditionally associated with winemaking, but these are regions with a long history when it comes to wine, and are once again starting to show this on the international stage.

Climates are hotter here, and so innevitably the style of wines are different, but they are no less characterful, or interesting than any wine region. Most of these wines are not famous, except perhaps the fabulous Chateau Musar of Lebanon, but once again each has a story to tell. You may not be able to pronounce the names of the regions, or grape varieties, but they are still delicious to try!

The tasting will feature six different wines, a combination of white and reds as well as nibbles, tasting notes and a tutored presentation from our wine expert.
