WSET L4 Practice Tasting – Old vs New World Red Wines
Tuesday 15 April 2014
,
In this tasting, we will focus on the differences between the "old" and the "new" world.
In fact, we will learn that the distinctions are more and more difficult to identify in a blind tasting which will lead us to develop a updated vocabulary when describing such types of wines.
We will taste 6 wines to compare & contrast the most important differences & learn how to identify them using the WSET SAT.
The session to include 30-45 minutes of theory and at least 60 minutes of tasting. Written hand-outs to be provided. Focus will be on identification, vocabulary, and to confidently assessing quality & style based on the WSET SAT Level 4.
