How top German Rieslings age
13 May 2005 by JR
This is not a major set of tasting notes, but I thought I’d publish these few notes on some top German Rieslings taken at a tasting in London at the end of apr 05 to showcase pairs of wines, a 2003 and exactly the same wine with serious bottle age. I hope it’ll serve to remind Riesling lovers, and I think there are quite a few of you among purple pagers, how well it ages – or does in some cases, how delicious it can be, and that for those of us in the northern hemisphere, Riesling drinking weather must, surely, be upon us soon. Brrrrrr.   HORST SAUER, FRANKEN Sold by Noel Young and Justerini & Brooks in the UK...
