More 2004 southern Rhône reds
8 Mar 2006 by JR
Here are a few more 2004 southern Rhône reds I have had the pleasure of tasting since my major set of previous tasting notes was published. Most of these wines are part of a current offer from OW Loeb of London but Gourt de Mautens is imported into the UK by Raeburn Fine Wines of Edinburgh (who will not be offering the 2004 for a while). CHÂTEAUNEUF-DU-PAPE 2004   Dom Bosquet des Papes 2004 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 16 Drink 2007-12 Good fragrance and balance on the nose but a bit dull and slightly stewed on the palate. Hint of rhubarb. Where’s the lift and freshness?...
