Bordeaux 2006 tasting notes - sweet whites
20 Apr 2007 by JR
Below are my tasting notes for 35 sweet whites, mainly Sauternes-Barsac. We have called them Barsac only if they use that appellation on their labels. Most of these wines are a bit disappointing, not always wonderfully clean and healthy, but the best are stupendous.   Background comments appear in italics .   As usual, the wines are listed alphabetically within appellation, ignoring words such as le, la, les, de, du, des, Château and Clos. + means that I expect the wine to gain stature with time - means the opposite ? means I am much less sure than usual of my verdict...
