1997 first growths – the tasting notes
Here are my detailed tasting notes from the comparison of 1997 Bordeaux first growths and equivalents described in free for all from 4 Aug. They appear in the order we tasted the wines and I have also included a note on the Cristal 1997, which concluded our evening of scientific investigation. See the table at the end for our individual scores.
