As you can see from the picture, Julia and I devoted most of last Tuesday to tasting our way round the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux's annual London showing of their latest vintage to go into bottle, in this case well over 100 examples of the unloved, overpriced 2007s. These adjectives, I should rapidly point out, apply only to the reds. The dry whites are superior and the sweet white wines are quite stunning. It has been pointed out on members' forum that scores tend to fall between primeur tastings and tastings in bottle, but I felt that the quality of the  Sauternes was definitively confirmed and that they showed...
