Sadly for Jancis, happily for me, Jancis was not able to go to the new-release tasting of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti's 2007s chez London agent Corney & Barrow because of a prior commitment with her mother in Cumbria.  Not a bad gig in itself but not quite as good as mine. A highly recommended way to start the week. Co-owner Aubert de Villaine, pictured on the home page, described the wines as ciselé , ie 'chiselled', and highlighted three critical points about the vintage at DRC (for general background to 2007 burgundy, see Jancis's article Burgundy 2007 - the verdict ): 1 Low yields – they get naturally low...
