Richard also tasted a variety of Alsace wines presented by the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins d'Alsace in Colmar. These tasting notes were taken during visits to 10 different producers in Alsace. I wrote in The trouble with Alsace  that I found the wines generally reliable in quality but greatly variable in style, and indeed each producer has something different to recommend them.
