Twenty postmodern Aussies

What follows is evidence to support my theory about Postmodern Australia . I have picked 10 Shirazes and 10 Chardonnays that I think sum up the direction Australian wine is heading. They all exhibit the buzzwords of elegance and restraint, but still have Australian flavour - a certain ripeness of fruit, and a rounded, polished, drinkable style. Many could have made the list, but I wanted to show wines that are currently available, exported, and new to the database (if only in vintage). They range widely in price and origin, which makes the point that these wines aren't rare and obtuse, but widespread...
