I enjoyed tasting the current range of the family firm of R & A Pfaffl based in Stetten in Austria's Weinviertel. Roman and Adelheid, pictured below, managed to build up an initial 0.75 ha of vineyard in 1978 to the current total of 75 ha in nine different villages and even within the boundaries of the Austrian capital Vienna. They are in the process of handing over to their son and daughter Roman and Heidi pictured left showing off the family dentist's prowess.
