There is much to tickle a wine lover's fancy in this mixed bag of highly individual wines on offer from the exemplary independent The Sampler, a UK merchant with two stores in London (Islington and South Kensington) which offer dozens of opportunities to taste before you buy. You can tell where recent buying sprees have been focused (South West France, Jura, Iberia, the odd flirtation with natural wine) but what's impressive is  how many GV s (for Good Value) have been achieved despite the high overheads that must be involved in running these stores.
