Jura - not to be overlooked

The other night I was just leaving one of my favourite London restaurants (disclosure: it is co-owned by our son) when I espied Nick Brookes of UK importer Vine Trail dining with Richard Rotti, group wine buyer for Caprice Holdings and therefore responsible for what is on the lists at The Ivy, Caprice, J Sheekey, Scotts, Annabel's, Harry's Bar, George and so on. 'What is it about the Jura?' Rotti suddenly asked me a little testily. 'Everyone seems to be talking about it at the moment.' The Jura does seem to get under people's skin - perhaps because the wines are so distinctive. And at last, Jura wines have reached British shores...
