Rippon - a veritable dynasty

How would you feel if you woke up every morning to this view? It would have to leave a mark, wouldn't it? Nick Mills now runs the winery and vineyard here on Lake Wanaka, billed as 'the world's most photographed vineyard', established by his father Rolf and mother Lois in the 1980s, prehistory as far as Central Otago in New Zealand is concerned. He started out as a skier but by the time he learned that his father had died, he was studying wine growing in Burgundy. He came to London at the beginning of this month to show off a range of Rippon vintages that even he had never seen together - except in New York 10...
