Bordeaux 2004 at 10 years - the first growths

As Jancis promised last week in her review of the 2004s , and as requested in this thread on our forum, here are my notes on the first growths and 'equivalents', for want of a better word, tasted sighted chez London's Bordeaux Index. My absolute favourite was Cheval Blanc, followed closely by Lafleur and Latour.  The wines are presented in the order tasted and the prices are per case of 12 in bond. Ch La Mission Haut-Brion 2004 Pessac-Léognan  16.5 Drink 2014-2025 Mid garnet with soft bricky rim. Distinctively but softly spicy. Fresh and cedary on the nose with notes of sweet autumn leaves. Tannins dry...
