Each February during the annual en primeur tastings organised throughout Tuscany, the organisers in Montalcino and Chianti Classico always prepare something to throw at us journalists, be it some newsworthy aspect or a launch of sorts, even if sometimes it gets less favourably covered than hoped for (see my comments on the new Gran Selezione , for example).
