Certain tastings have a Pavlovian effect on the wine lover, and none is more salivatory than that of London wine merchant Lea & Sandeman. Time and again, they have one of the finest collections of wine in town, and so it proved at their most recent event. The emphasis was on traditional European names, but with thoughtful curation. It is easy, on paper at least, to come up with a list of the best names in wine. It is much harder to seek out the lesser known ones that still offer fantastic quality.
