Bordeaux 2013 - Pomerol, Lalande-de-Pomerol and Fronsac

We're publishing this collection as our first survey of 2013 bordeaux reds, since Pomerol seemed to succeed more than many other appellations and yet production volumes are some of the smallest. For a list of all our articles, see Bordeaux 2013 - a guide to our coverage . During en primeur tastings week, it struck me that Pomerol was achieving a better average than most areas. Reviewing the notes now, there is definitely more consistency than most areas managed in 2013. No doubt there will be some handsome prices - but there are justifiable buys here, especially for those wanting a lighter, earlier maturing version of the style...
