Bernkasteler Ring's 2013s

This is Michael's third report on the 2013s - for the rest, see our guide to coverage of Germany's 2013s. For the second year running the Bernkasteler Ring Association extended its presentation of the new vintage to two days, giving critics, trade and consumers the opportunity to get through (almost) all the wines on show. For readers of Purple Pages this means that they have to endure some 125 instead of the usual 80 tasting notes. Not all members were present at this year's event, as quantities were severely reduced by the mean weather conditions of 2013, and so for some growers it simply did not make sense to advertise...
