Australian wine gets a natural boost in the US

In his first bimonthly column for us, Jason Wilson explains how and why things are at last looking up in America for Australian wine producers, or some of them at least. 

A sea change happens quietly and is often felt in the unlikeliest of places: at a bright and cheery wine bar in New Jersey, for instance, with a surfboard and surf photos adorning the walls amid leafy plants, succulents, colourful pillows and wicker chairs. At least that’s how it seemed on a recent sunny Saturday, at Frankie, an Australian wine bar in Jersey City.
