Sauternes are the 2013s for which buying en primeur is perhaps most sensible. They are more likely to be eventually pricier via normal retail, as they have not been hugely inflated as the reds have in recent years. The best examples do not suffer from the lightness that has adversely affected so many of the 2013 reds, even at the top end. And the quantities are vanishingly small, since routinely low yields were further shrunk by poor flowering conditions.
