Gosh (some of) these wines are expensive! Good to see that our old friend Capbern-Gasqueton 2009 is holding up well. The Laithwaite's production facility on the Castillon quayside (described here by Tamlyn) has certainly been busy. The white Chai au Quai looks particularly intriguing and good value. These dry white Sémillons can be absolutely delicious – with or without Sauvignon Blanc in the blend – and often offer better value as a fine white for the dinner table than white burgundy.

The fact that, with a mere 36 tasting notes, this is by far the smallest of these geographical collections...
