I’m starting to sound like a stuck record. I’m starting to sound like a stuck record.

The role of luck in the MW tasting exam weighs so heavily on my mind that it has added an extra wrinkle to my forehead. It seems to be my only topic of conversation. I find myself repeating the same frantic point ad infinitum: that success in the practical papers depends, at least in part, on luck. I’m getting to be like some bug-eyed, brush-haired, soapbox doom-monger ranting about the apocalypse to whomever is listening.

So before I break down into full-on wibbling lunacy...
