Jancis writes It has been far too long since we published a video. (See these search results in our Articles section for a collection of all the videos we have ever publshed.) This is the first of a new series of conversations with a very varied collection of interesting people in wine, including a couple of our contributors. Our Italian specialist Walter Speller is the focus of the five-minute interview below as we think you should get to know him even better. Others will follow. I am very grateful to Richard for the tricky business of filming and editing these short videos, most of which started life as 15- to 30-minute films on two cameras.

This conversation took place in the private dining room of our son Will Lander's second restaurant Portland just north of Oxford Circus in central London.

So there you have it, the really weird Walter, who writes today on the secrets of Romagna's best wines. Please keep coming back for more.
