The French businessman, Jacky Lorenzetti, backer of the Parisian rugby team Racing Metro inter alia, has bought half of the Margaux cru classé Château d'Issan from the Cruse family.
The property comprises 40 hectares of Margaux, three hectares of Haut-Médoc and 10 hectares of Bordeaux Supérieur. Jacky Lorenzetti has bought 50% of the company's total shares.
The Cruses have owned the property since 1945. Divided into two branches, the family could not reach a management agreement for the estate. One of these two branches, descendants of Roland Cruse, have sold their share to the French businessman.
