We have exciting news - well, it excites me anyway. For nearly three years now we have been publishing videos on this site, with some degree of difficulty. I would film them on my Flip video camera, then convert them into a format acceptable to our edit system and then, over extended periods, frequently interrupted by a breakdown in online connections, upload them into that system.

I know that they were often jerky and for some people even these quite short films would stop and have to be restarted. It has taken me inexplicable ages to realise how much easier it would be for everyone if I simply uploaded them on to my channel at YouTube, which is what I have done with the brief panorama chez Jamet above the slopes of Côte Rôtie you can see here on YouTube.

I do hope that you find this new system a big improvement and hereby open up the Video section of this site to everyone, not just Purple pagers.

At you can also find clips from all 10 episodes of our award-winning BBC TV series Jancis Robinson's Wine Course.

I'm just sorry it has taken me so long to do the sensible thing. The picture above, by the way, is the same as that adorning our collection of tasting notes on the delicious 2009 North Rhônes, to which I shall be adding more reviews soon.
