Join our 20-year celebration

We not only write, we occasionally talk too … a selection of videos, current and future, for your delectation.

On Sunday we celebrated our 20th anniversary with a live webinar for members of our Purple Pages, attended by wine lovers from all over the world.

We are delighted to share this 15-minute version of the event, which includes a potted history of the website and my answers to some of the questions sent in by members beforehand. Because we were sent far more questions than I had time to address, I am answering a selection of the unanswered ones on our Members' forum.

(On this US election day I should point out to any American who might possibly find time to view my message below that my red brooch is far from a political emblem. In the UK we have a tradition of wearing red poppies in the run-up to Armistice Day, 11 November, as a symbol of both remembrance of those who lost their lives in war and hope for a peaceful future.)

On Thursday we shared short films made by each member of our editorial team so that you can get to know our esteemed contributors better. On Tuesday next week we're planning to share short films made by each of the sustainable wine producers shortlisted in this year's writing competition.
