Last week, jostling for attention with all those burgundy 2008 tastings in London, came a substantial delegation of wine producers from ... Japan.
Seen here are scenes from the inaugural export tasting of wines made from Japan's own grape Koshu. As you can see in this short film shot in the Imagination Gallery high above Bloomsbury, the tasting was very well attended – particularly by female wine writers, as it happened – although the numbers were swollen by no fewer than 15 translators for the visiting wine producers from Yamanashi prefecture.
