Landmark TNs – Chardonnay

Day 4 of the Landmark Tutorial started with an excellent tasting of Chardonnays, presented by the very personable Michael Hill Smith AM, who became Australia's first ever Master of Wine in 1988. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) 'for service to the development of the Australian wine industry, particularly as a judge, educator and mentor, to the professional organisations and as a winemaker'. As if that wasn't enough, he and his cousin Martin Shaw are responsible for some very fine wines under the Shaw & Smith label in the Adelaide Hills.
