Meurthe and Moselle tasting notes

My tasting notes below on wines currently produced in the once-important region described in The Forgotten Moselle are grouped by region, first Moselle then Côtes de Toul. 

MOSELLE 

Stromberg, Müller-Thurgau 2008 Moselle 15.5 Drink 2010 
Gentle fruit on the nose, apples and grapes; clean and fresh with high acidity, bone dry, herbal finish. 12% (MS) 

Claude Sontag, Pinot Gris Hemerling 2008 Moselle 15 Drink 2010 
Gentle minerality on the nose, wet stones. On the palate quite soft with a pithy aroma. Clean, fresh and simple. 12% (MS)
