Below is a little bit of Easter Monday/bank holiday silliness, a very short film I made when just about to be quizzed by various journalists in the city of Kofu in Yamanashi prefecture, centre of wine production in Japan.  It was fun to turn the tables. You can find my coverage of my short stay  in Japan by clicking on the Japan tag at the bottom of this.  Immediately below is one of the more common images in Japan, this particular photograph taken at the entrance to a restaurant in Yamanashi.

See also my tasting notes on the wines of Château Mercian, one of Japan's most important wine companies.

And see my tasting notes on a range of wines produced by the relatively big Japanese wine producer Chateau Mercian here.   Pronouncements on Bordeaux 2009 coming soon!
